Gas Safety Certificates in Greenhithe
Gas Safe registered engineers serving Greenhithe, Swanscombe, Stone, Dartford and Longfield. Free quotes available.
Landlords in England and Wales are legally required to have a Gas Safety Check carried out annually by a Gas Safe registered engineer on all gas appliances and flues in their rental properties. The resulting Gas Safety Certificate (also known as a CP12) must be provided to tenants within 28 days of the check.
Greenhithe Plumbing Services provides annual Gas Safety Certificates for landlords across Greenhithe, Swanscombe, Stone, Dartford and Longfield. Our Gas Safe registered engineers offer same-week appointments in most cases, and certificates are issued on the day of the inspection.
As well as landlord certificates, we carry out gas safety checks for homeowners seeking peace of mind, and we can inspect and certify newly purchased properties or homes where gas appliances have not been checked for several years.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a Gas Safety Check take?
Approximately 45–60 minutes for a standard property with a boiler and no other gas appliances. Properties with a gas hob and gas fire in addition to the boiler may take 75–90 minutes.
What happens if an appliance fails the gas safety check?
The engineer will explain the specific issue and whether the appliance needs to be taken out of service immediately (a Danger Identified notice) or whether it can remain in use with an advisory notice. We will provide a repair or replacement quotation.
Can I use any Gas Safe registered engineer for a landlord check?
Yes. Any Gas Safe registered engineer can legally carry out a landlord Gas Safety Check. You can verify any engineer's registration at gassaferegister.co.uk using their registration number.
How early should I book before the certificate expires?
We recommend booking at least 2 weeks before the expiry date. If you book within 2 months of the expiry date, the new certificate will run from the original expiry date rather than the date of the new check, meaning you do not lose any days.
